Fashion Sketching & Moodboard Workshop
Develop foundational fashion visual communication skills by creating a moodboard and fashion sketch concept that expresses a clear theme, identity, mood, and design intention.
Program Overview
The Fashion Sketching & Moodboard Workshop introduces learners to fashion as visual storytelling, design planning, and intentional creative expression. Rather than treating sketching as drawing alone, this workshop helps learners understand how fashion ideas are formed, organized, and communicated before a garment is made. Learners explore how designers move from inspiration to concept by using theme, mood, silhouette, colour, texture, fabric direction, proportion, and styling details. They will create a fashion mood board, develop a simple design direction, sketch one or more fashion concepts, and present the thinking behind their work. This workshop is especially useful as an entry point into fashion because it does not require advanced sewing skill.

Biblical Perspective Integration
Theme
Identity, Calling & Creative Purpose Workshop
Formation Focus
Learners reflect on how identity, purpose, imagination, and stewardship shape what they create and why they create.
Biblical Design Connection
Creativity flows from being made in the image of God. Design is not only about personal taste but about vision, purpose, service, and responsible expression. The design-thinking flow of empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test is understood through biblical truth and creative stewardship.
Reflection Prompts
- ◆Why do we need to consider God's perspective?
- ◆How does design speak or communicate?
- ◆Why do we need to create, and why is the design important?
- ◆How can creativity become more than self?
- ◆How can my creative gift be developed with excellence and humility?
Certificate
A participation or completion certificate may be awarded at the end of the workshop.
Pathway
This workshop can lead into Creative Continuous Formation in Fashion, especially for learners interested in fashion illustration, garment design, styling, fashion communication, creative direction, or fashion business.
