Standard Track
Program Overview
The Standard Track builds a broad photographic foundation across Children, Teen, and Adult pathways. Learners develop safe and intentional camera use, exposure and focus awareness, light and composition, visual storytelling, ethical practice, critique, file organisation, and portfolio habits. Level 1 establishes Foundation skills; Level 2 strengthens Formation through more reliable manual control, purposeful lighting, project planning, editing consistency, and increasingly independent work.
Digital workflow progresses through Lightroom/Lightroom Classic and Photoshop for import, organisation, RAW/JPEG adjustment, selection, retouching, masks, non-destructive editing, export, and presentation. Capture One is reserved primarily for Advanced Teen and Adult study rather than the core Children or Standard pathway. Certification alignment develops competencies reflected in PPA CPP technical quality, RPS-style portfolio thinking, Adobe Certified Professional Photoshop, and professional digital workflow; Academy completion does not itself confer external certification.
