Program Objective
To deepen technical skills, expand creative thinking, and strengthen artistic confidence in children, preparing them for more advanced study and helping them grow as young artists who understand how art communicates meaning and serves purpose.

Stage 1: Foundation
Objective Rudimentary Principles
- Refined tool control through advanced pencil handling, precise line work, brush control, and use of additional tools
- Advanced mark-making through expressive line, varied texture, and controlled tone and pattern
- Developed observation through sustained looking, stronger proportion awareness, and noticing subtle details
- Expanded material knowledge through paper choice, mixed media, and introductory colour theory
Conceptual Knowledge
- Art as communication through idea, feeling, message, and intentional choice
- Expanded elements of art through deeper understanding of line, shape, form, value, colour, texture, and space
- Introduction to principles of design through balance, emphasis, rhythm, movement, and visual hierarchy
Applied Theories
- Precision drawing projects including detailed objects, value studies, and simple perspective scenes
- Advanced painting projects through complex colour mixing, layered painting, and texture exploration
- Mixed media exploration through combining drawing, painting, collage, and alternative tools
Stage 2: Formation
Objective Rudimentary Principles
- Independent work habits through multi-step projects, self-monitoring, and decision-making with less guidance
- Design thinking development through planning, sketching, composition choice, revision, and improvement
- Technical refinement through consistency, troubleshooting, and developing reliable techniques
- Personal style development through noticing preferences in colour, subject, and approach

- Visual problem-solving through identifying artistic challenges and exploring multiple solutions
- Expanded principles of design through contrast, unity, variety, scale, and proportion
- Subject matter exploration through still life, landscape, portrait, abstract, and growing awareness of personal strengths

Stage 3: Mastery

- Creative confidence through risk-taking, experimentation, and perseverance through challenge
- Self-assessment through evaluating work, noticing strengths, and setting improvement goals
- Artistic voice development through personal choices, authentic work, and early articulation of artistic meaning
Conceptual Knowledge
- Art historical awareness through exposure to well-known artists, contributions, and contexts
- Meaning and message through work that expresses personal themes, feelings, and ideas with intention
- Growth mindset through understanding ability as something developed through practice and sustained effort
Applied Theories
- Major independent projects developed across several sessions
- Portfolio refinement through selecting, organizing, and preparing stronger works for presentation
- Reflection and goal-setting through writing or speaking about learning, strengths, and next steps
Stage 4: Purpose & Application

Applied Theories
- Final showcase through presenting a collection of best work
