Fashion — Standard Track

Standard Track

Program Overview

The Standard Track is ZC Academy’s progressive generalist fashion pathway. It develops learners through age-appropriate technical, creative, digital, professional, and faith-centred formation. Children complete two Standard levels; Teen and Adult learners complete four. Across the pathway, learners move from safe sewing, measurement, materials, garment understanding, and design planning into pattern and fit, increasingly independent construction, digital technical communication, craftsmanship, portfolio and collection development, and career or enterprise readiness.

Curriculum delivery is competency-based: practical outputs and mastery gates are required at every level, and progression depends on demonstrated skill, documented evidence, review, and correction rather than attendance alone. At Teen and Adult levels, the curriculum is aligned to recognized fashion and digital-apparel competency frameworks, including Adobe Illustrator credential-readiness, CLO and Browzwear workflow readiness, and ASDP competency areas. CFDA- and FHCM-informed themes are used as professional benchmarks for responsible practice, craftsmanship, personalization, atelier discipline, collection development, sustainability, and presentation; external credentials remain controlled by their respective providers. Children receive only age-appropriate introductory exposure to these higher-level practices.
