The past few months have marked an exciting season at Zeluchi Charles Academy of Creativity & Art, from welcoming our community into the Academy to celebrating student completion, beginning new programs and preparing to expand into Photography.
Our Experiential Open House: August
In August, we opened our doors to families, creatives, and community members at the ZC Academy Experiential Open House.
Guests experienced the Academy environment, explored our creative disciplines and learned more about our approach to developing creativity, skill, character and purpose.
More than an introduction, we were graciously honoured by Kitchener's Mayor, Mayor Berry V., who presented the Academy Director, Vianney Z. Oladejo, with a certificate of Recognition from the City of Kitchener for the Academy. The Open House became the beginning of new conversations, relationships and creative journeys within our growing community.
Celebrating Our Children’s Music Level 1 Graduates: September
September brought an important milestone as our first group of children completed the Level 1 Music Program.
Through foundational music learning and practical piano development, students grew in confidence, discipline and creative expression.
Their completion represents more than finishing a course; it marks the beginning of a deeper journey of intentional learning, practice and creative growth.
Fine Art and Fashion Begin Their Creative Journeys
This September also welcomed the commencement of our Children’s Fine Art and Fashion Programs.
Our Fine Art students are exploring drawing, painting, colour and visual expression, while Fashion students are discovering design through fabric, form, colour, construction and creative thinking.
Both programs are helping young learners build strong creative foundations while learning to approach their ideas with greater confidence and intentionality.
Photography Is Coming: All Ages
Toward the end of October, ZC Academy will welcome its first Photography learners.
Open to children, pre-teens, teenagers and adults, the program will introduce photography as a form of observation, creative expression and visual storytelling.
Learners will explore composition, perspective and intentional image-making while developing the ability to see and communicate the world around them in new ways.
And We Are Only Beginning
From our August Open House to celebrating our first Music Level 1 completion, and all our ongoing and upcoming program cohorts, these months have shown us what the ZC Academy vision looks like when it begins to take shape through people.
Different students arrive with different abilities, interests and experiences.
Some are discovering a creative gift for the first time.
Some are beginning to develop skills they already love.
Others are learning how creativity can become part of a much bigger journey of purpose, discipline and expression.
And that is exactly the kind of environment we are continuing to build.
A place to discover.
A place to develop.
A place to create intentionally.
A place to grow.
At Zeluchi Charles Academy of Creativity & Art, the journey continues.
